What is the Annual Fund?

The Annual Fund is an essential resource that provides revenue to support projects and programmes not covered by tuition. The generosity of past donors and income from our international schools provides necessary income for the College, however this income is fully committed to current operational costs.

Why should I give to the College when I pay full tuition for my child(ren)?

While fees are high, they still do not cover the cost of a pupil to attend Dulwich. A healthy Annual Fund will help keep fee increases down, while proving the essential resources we need to deliver the best educational experiences possible.

Why doesn’t the College simply increase fees?

The College makes every attempt to keep fee increases to a minimum. Unlike fee increases, which are the same for all, the Annual Fund asks each member of our community to give what they are able.

Will a small gift really make a difference?

All gifts, regardless of size, are a statement of support for the College. Many small gifts, pooled together, make a big impact. Whether your gift is £20 or £2,000, your gift will be put to immediate use for the benefit of today’s pupils.

What does unrestricted mean?

Unrestricted gifts give the College the flexibility to use the funds as they see fit. Unrestricted gifts allow the College to address any unforeseen issues that may affect the quality of a Dulwich education.

Gifts to the Dulwich College Annual Fund may go to:

  • Acquire and improve classroom equipment
  • Enhance pupil life
  • Make improvements to facilities
  • Bring guest lecturers to the College
  • Expand Bursary Provision

Why should I give to Dulwich College when there are so many other pressing needs in the world?

We understand there are other charities that address serious issues such as hunger, homelessness, and medical research. While Dulwich College may not address these issues directly, we are providing a quality education to boys who may well find the solutions to society’s most pressing matters. We hope you will consider adding the College to the list of worthy causes you support.

How can I help?

You can make a gift today, encourage a friend to give, or join our committee of dedicated volunteers. Even if you only have an hour to give, we’d welcome your help. Please contact Cecily Allison, Annual and Major Gifts Manager, on allisonc@dulwich.org.uk or 0208 299 8446
