The Polish Fund

Supporting outstanding Polish Scholars

Dulwich College is proud of its long-standing tradition of supporting talented students from Poland. Through a partnership with United World Colleges, we offer life-changing opportunities for Polish Scholars to join Dulwich College as boarders in our Upper School.

Established in 2013, the Dulwich College Polish Fund is an endowed fund dedicated to providing financial support for these scholars. Initially supported by a generous annual matched gift from Piotr Hołysz, former Chair of UWC Poland, and contributions from past Polish Scholars, our aim is to grow the fund to a level where it can fully finance a scholarship in perpetuity.

Our Polish Scholars are among the most talented Alleynians, excelling academically and making invaluable contributions to College life. Many have gone on to study at world-leading universities, including Oxford, Cambridge, Harvard, and MIT. Our Polish Scholars often speak of their lasting connection to the College and the wider community of Polish Scholars worldwide. This strong bond is reflected in their generosity towards the Polish Fund and their commitment to supporting future students whenever possible.

Growing the Fund – Your Support Matters

Thanks to a generous anonymous donor, we are delighted to share that any gift made during the 2025 Bursary Appeal in favour of the Polish Fund will be matched on a 2:1 basis – and even more generously, the first three gifts over $5,000 will be matched 3:1. This means your support will go even further in ensuring that gifted students from Poland continue to benefit from this life-changing opportunity.

You can make a one-off donation by using the form below, or set up a regular gift by Direct Debit. Donors in Poland can benefit from a facility we have established with Transnational Giving Europe (TGE) whereby you can make tax efficient cross border donations to Dulwich College, benefiting directly from the tax advantages provided for in the legislation of your country of residence. Please contact The Academy for the Development of Philanthropy in Poland by emailing K.Petryka@filantropia.org.pl if you are a Polish resident. More information can be found on the TGE website: www.transnationalgiving.eu.

“I am not afraid to say that Dulwich was a turning point in my life. It hasn't been a month and I love this College, and I know the feeling is mutual. I know that there is always a place for me here." Current Polish Scholar
