Cycling
Dulwich College is fortunate to be able to run weekly cycling games sessions at the nearby Herne Hill Velodrome, home to the 1948 Olympics. Here the boys can develop their speed and skills on track racing bikes. The Velodrome is also home to the annual Dulwich Inter-Schools Cycling Championships, which has been running since 2009 and is now arguably the largest interschool-cycling competition in the country.
Dulwich College has its own cycling club VCDC (Velo Club Dulwich College) which is affiliated to the national governing body. Boys and staff can join the club and wear its clothing to represent Dulwich College at local race events.
In addition to track cycling, boys from the College compete in road racing events, cyclo-cross races as well as rides and training sessions at a wide variety of facilities across the country. The recent success in Olympic cycling has spurred the Dulwich boys on with a number of them gaining recognition regionally and nationally, as well as supporting those who are keen enthusiasts.
