Sport Played
From Year 3 through to Year 13 all boys have compulsory games lessons at least once a week. Years 3 to 8 are guided in games choices and from Year 9 the choices for boys expand through to the Upper School where boys are offered a range of 25 different sports depending on the term. The games programme complements our physical education programme where the boys are taught physical literacy through a range of activities such as swimming, gymnastics and athletics. A level PE is also on offer to boys in the Upper School. Outside of curriculum time boys have the opportunity to train with their respective team squads on a regular basis as well as taking the opportunity to access any of the co-curricular activities offered by the College. Boys are also encouraged to take part in our thriving house competitions.
The following sports are offered at the College:
Rugby, Football, Hockey, Cricket, Athletics, Rowing, Badminton, Squash, Tennis, Table Tennis, Fives, Swimming, Water Polo, Basketball, Rugby Sevens, Climbing, Cycling, Archery, Taekwondo, Biathlon, Triathlon, Sailing, Fencing, Cross Country, Golf, Sub Aqua, Volleyball and Horse Riding.
