Student performers show off their abilities on a dazzling array of percussion

This year's Percussion Concert, held on Thursday 21 March, showcased the talents of 25 students across three percussion ensembles and featured 14 soloists. The evening concluded with a grand finale performance of "Havana" by Camila Cabello, featuring all the soloists and ensemble musicians.

The soloists performed on the drum kit, marimba and timpani, and played a wide range of repertoire including pieces by The Beatles, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Eric Sammut, Van Halen, Mike Osborn, Rival Sons, Ralph Salmins and Alicia Keys. The Junior Percussion Club performed We Will Rock You by Queen, the Middle and Lower School Percussion Ensemble performed Eye of the Tiger by Survivor. Drumline, conducted by Mr Michael Simmonds, who is a teacher at Dulwich College, performed four of his own composed pieces in sequence called Rumba MarchKeep UpCrazy Army and Toy Soldiers.
