Year 12 students gain first-hand experience of the corporate world

Year 12 students gain first-hand experience of the corporate world

Thirteen Year 12 students took part in an Insight Morning at RSM, a leading professional services company, as part of the College’s Professional Insight Programme. Held at RSM’s London office, the event aimed to develop students’ understanding of career pathways in audit, tax and consulting, while offering practical experience and networking opportunities.

Our students collaborated with Leyton Sixth Form College on real-world business challenges designed by RSM’s departments, offering them the chance to experience problem-solving in a professional setting. Each task was supported by RSM employees, who shared their knowledge and offered feedback, helping students to build confidence in their communication and teamwork skills.

A highlight of the day was a talk from an RSM partner, who introduced the company’s work and explained the range of entry routes into the profession. Students gained valuable insights into both university and apprenticeship pathways, and left with a clearer understanding of the expectations and opportunities within the corporate sector.
