Track and field athletes shine at London Championships

Dulwich College athletes delivered standout performances at the London Track and Field Championships held in Battersea Park on Saturday 14 June.

Curtis Abbey (Year 10) claimed medals in the 200m, high jump and relay, while Mylo Bernard (Year 10) also secured podium finishes in the 200m, triple jump and relay. Dylan Healey medalled in the discus, James Flynn earned medals in both the 300m and triple jump, Everett Tidy medalled in the high jump, and Leo Spencer (Year 9) took home a medal in the triple jump.

Following their outstanding efforts, four boys have been selected to represent the London Schools team at the English Schools Track and Field Championships: James Flynn (Year 9) in the 300m, Caspian Holmes (Year 10) in the 3000m, Oliver Driscoll (Year 11) in the 200m and relay, and Noah Ridgeon (Year 11) in the 400m and relay.

On Tuesday 17 June, Year 7 and 8 pupils took part in their own track and field championship event. Felix Poynter (Year 7) medalled in both the discus and high jump, while Felix Mowbray (Year 7) was successful in the hurdles. Among the Year 8 competitors, Ayub Khodja medalled in the discus, Oliver Hackleton in the high jump and Henry Kucerov in the 1500m.
