The College Chapel Choir sang the final Evensong of the academic year on Sunday 9 June. The Choir was augmented by 22 OA former Choral Scholars and sang music by Tomkins, Dyson and Howells.
Amongst the congregation were distinguished guests including Rev’d Justin White, former Chaplain, Michael Ashcroft, former Director of Music and Dr Ralph Allwood, former Precentor and Director of Music at Eton College. The Choir sang superbly and was accompanied on the Organ by Miss Lucy Morrell, Head of Academic Music & College Organist, and conducted for the final time by Mr Richard Mayo, Director of Music. A homily was given by the Master and the Choir, OAs, staff, parents and friends of the College representing the Chapel community enjoyed dinner in Great Hall after. Presentations were made by the Master to four current Alleynians who leave the Choir at the end of this term: William Barter-Sheppard, Archie Bowers, Daniel Kamaluddin and Nick Maleikyi.
