Alleynian Blues enjoys close harmony workshop with the Swingles Singers
On Monday 17 June 2024 the Alleynian Blues ensemble was invited to Alleyn’s School to participate in a close harmony workshop given by the Swingles Singers and to be the support act for their evening concert. Musical Director of the Swingles Joanna Goldsmith-Eteson was a past member of Alleynian Blues so it was a wonderful way for the current cohort of Alleynian Blues to meet her and the rest of this legendary group, to receive tuition and to share the stage. The evening concert concluded with a performance of Narnia, written by Joanna Goldsmith-Eteson, combining the Swingles, Alleyn’s Schola and Alleynian Blues. A special celebration of close harmony.
