The 2.6 Challenge

Nick Rusling OA is a passionate believer in getting more people involved in sport and has 20 years’ experience of overseeing sporting events. Rusling is currently CEO of mass participation events company Human Race. Today Nick talks with Trevor about the 2.6 Challenge and how they have managed to pull it together in days!

Nick recognised that the charity sector estimated to lose £4 billion in income as a result of the pandemic and has become a driving force in launching the new 2.6 Challenge to support the UK’s Charities in these unprecedented times. Partnering with the UK largest mass participation event organisers to create a campaign to engage the nation to donate, fundraise and support the UK’s charities.

From Sunday 26 April – the date which would have been the 40th edition of the London Marathon – we are asking you to dream up an activity based around the numbers 2.6 or 26 and fundraise or donate to Save the UK’s Charities via twopointsixchallenge.co.uk. The 2.6 Challenge is open to anyone of any age – the only requirement is that the activity must follow the Government guidelines on exercise and social distancing.

Nick invites OAs to join the cause to save the UK's Charities. Join the nation and take on the 2.6 challenge by fundraising in your charity's name.

From 2.6 to 26. It's your choice. Your challenge. Your cause.
