The Sandy Gunn Aerospace Careers Programme

With the global aerospace industry in constant expansion, over 120 Year 12 physicists from Dulwich and seven local schools, joined together for a presentation by the Sandy Gunn Aerospace Careers Programme (ACP).

Co-Directors Dr Tony Hoskins and Dr Michael Smith FRAeS, outlined the emerging technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and highlighted the opportunities for young people to join an industry at the leading edge of this technical development. Pupils were able to get up close and personal with a Merlin XX engine, try out the latest VR pilot training software and engage one-to-one with the aerospace experts. The College now joins the AA810 Network which will offer careers information, networking, workshops and mentoring etc. to support pupils as the pursue a career in STEM.
