Steve Hoyle Shield won by Sidney House

After some 37 separate competitions over the course of the academic year, the annual tussle to be overall Upper School House victors came to an end on Wednesday afternoon with Sidney in pole position. The contest started during last summer’s Lockdown with the weekly online House quiz and finished this week with boys enjoying their re-found freedom on the College’s cricket squares. The outstanding contribution of the Upper School House Captains to the success of this year’s tournament was formally acknowledged by The Master, Dr Spence, and Deputy Master Co-Curricular, Mr Scarisbrick, on Thursday morning. The boys were thanked for their enthusiasm, energy, and leadership of their respective houses in ensuring the competition was so well-fought and with such good humour. The trophy was then awarded by the Master to Sidney’s joint Upper School House captains, Pasha Gorenkin and Charlie Humphreys (pictured above).
