Thank you to those who joined us in the magical Orchard Gardens last night for a spectacular evening of opera.
Five gifted chamber musicians together with four world-class singers performed an eclectic mix of arias, songs and ensembles, informally staged by Director Ben Morris to create a narrative that connects the music.
We must extend a special thanks to the Music Director, Orlando Jopling, who brought this Summer Opera Evening to Dulwich College. It was one of many that he will be putting on over the summer with his charity Wild Arts, founded as a response to the worrying impact of climate change and increasing social division.
This was therefore the perfect way to fundraise for the Bursary Appeal 2022. Thanks to you, our first Opera in The Orchard event has already raised more than £10,000, with all proceeds going directly to support talented pupils to attend the College, irrespective of their financial background. Our Bursary Appeal closes in two weeks, and if you are able, we hope you will consider making another gift before then to help even more pupils.
We hope to see you there next year!
