"I got a part in the school play and became involved in the drama department. It was the most thrilling thing I’d ever done. Being part of that community gave me this tremendous feeling of self-worth, which is probably the most important emotion you can have."Chiwetel Ejiofor OBE (OA 90-95) | BAFTA winner, Oscar & Golden Globe nominee – Daily Telegraph.

Every year, dozens of boys are involved in school productions in the Edward Alleyn Theatre, promenade or site-specific performances within the wider College campus, or at James Allen’s Girls’ School, with whom we frequently collaborate. Productions are directed and designed to exacting professional standards, often supported by our director in residence and specialist practitioners.

"I was most struck by the vibrancy and shared endeavour that the active and progressive theatre community at Dulwich College contributes to the life, education and socialisation of these young minds." Mark Shanahan | Principal guest conductor of the Netherlands Symphony Orchestra and Head of Music at the National Opera Studio

"These productions and theatrical events will live in the boys’ souls forever and I am extremely grateful to you for what it has meant to our son" Louise Bates | Parent
