A total of £300 was raised at the second hand uniform/coffee morning. The money will benefit Friends of Dulwich College's chosen charity, HoneyPot
Charities
One of the most heartening aspects of charitable fundraising at the College is the commitment and initiative shown by the boys themselves. In recent years they have organised numerous events including sports tournaments, talent shows, ‘bake-off’ style competitions and sponsored events. Most years the boys’ charity fund-raising efforts raise over £30,000 for good causes.
Our charity work has a benefit to the community, raises the boys’ awareness of the needs of those around them and encourages them to develop as considerate citizens with a strong sense of their responsibility in society.
Local charities
The College supports many local charities with direct links to current pupils and staff including St Christopher’s Hospice, Macmillan, Papyrus, Shelter and the Hollington Club - a youth club situated in a deprived area of Camberwell which was originally founded by the College and continues to attract the support of Old Alleynians as well as our Community Action team.
Overseas charities
As a diverse and multi-cultural community we also look further afield. We have in recent years supported Tackle Africa, Water Aid and Amnesty International. The growth of our international schools has enabled us to support charities in their countries too.
