“The outcomes for boarders is excellent. Boarders are self-assured and articulate, whether English is their first or an additional language”. ISI Inspection Report 2015
One of the great strengths of Dulwich College is the opportunities the boys have beyond the classroom and away from the College itself. Our boarders are particularly lucky as they can fully engage with all of these activities in addition to what is tailored just for them.
Weekends are, of course, a time to relax but also a time to experience different things. Our location and proximity to London put us in an advantageous position and there are regular House trips to central London, visiting the many museums, taking advantage of the various culinary delights and even nights at the theatre. There are more recreational boarding trips too, such as supporting our local football club Crystal Palace, go-karting, go-Ape, paintballing, to name a few. We also like to look to the future and there are organised trips to Oxford, Cambridge and many of the other leading universities where we often meet up with our Alumni.
It is not always necessary to leave the College campus and the boarders make great use of the Physical Education Centre and we are quick to promote a healthy lifestyle. In-house events include our own concerts, cultural celebrations and many formal and relaxed dinners.
The programme is extensive and will only add to the experience of our Alleynians.
