OAA Photographic Competition Results 2026

Thank you to all those who shared their images for our inaugural OAA Photographic Competition, the concept of Community as the theme.

Entries demonstrated a wide representation of vibrant life, captured by the lens and together make up a visual tapestry that belongs uniquely to this OA community. We have seen a wonderful array of photographic styles and subjects.

The judges aimed to be open-minded, rather than technically obsessive. Still, there are technical commonalities between the shortlisted images, including a range of effective compositions that emphasise the representation of community.

The winner is: Ben Schlossman, with his image Amongst a Greater Hall

2nd Place: Paul Formanko (08-15), with Deep in thought in Amman 

3rd Place: Clive Quick (52-59), Preparing for the village show
