Dulwich College receives another accolade for best green initiatives

Dulwich College is delighted to have been named ‘Best of the best’ senior schools 2025 by The Week Independent Schools Guide in the category of Best inspiring green initiatives.

The judging panel said: “Sustainability infuses every aspect of life at Dulwich College. In April, three solar-PV arrays supplied 30 per cent of the school's electricity, while the new DC Free swap-shop lets staff exchange furniture, stationery and household items, encouraging a circular economy and slashing waste. Pupils drive change, too. In February, Year 6 students curated displays linked to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, spotlighting issues from plastic pollution and fast fashion to homelessness and proposing practical solutions. Building on that momentum, two Year 13 pupils organised a sustainability conference that drew peers from across London to share ideas. Through its buildings. culture and student voice. Dulwich College is inspiring future green leaders”.

Katy Millis, Head of Sustainability says “I am so pleased to have received this award, I have been working with students and staff across the campus to embed Sustainability into the culture of the College, my thanks goes to all that have been involved over the past year.”

This accolade is a wonderful acknowledgement of the College’s commitment to sustainability and is in addition to the College being a Finalist in the Sustainability Champion category of the School House Awards 2024.
