Carols by Candlelight

The College's annual Carol Service, Carols by Candlelight, was given in the beautiful setting of Southwark Cathedral on Friday 8 December. The Chapel Choir and Brass Consort provided the traditional Christmas hymns, carols and arrangements for this occasion. In addition to carols by Boris Ord, Harold Darke, Carl Rütti and Rachmaninov, the Chapel Choir also sang two carols that had been especially written for the College: An Heavenly Songe by Cecilia McDowall written in 2010, and Personent Hodie by Daniel Saleeb which was written in 2013.  The Brass Consort was directed by Mr Robin Smith, Head of Brass; the Organists were Dr John Carnelley and Miss Claire Cousens, and the music was led and conducted by Mr Richard Mayo.
