On Tuesday 12 May Chris Jordan OA joined 120 members of Dulwich College us for a Q and A. Chris attended Dulwich College as a boy and has gone on to represent England 87 times across all formats of the game, as well as playing in both the Indian Premier League and Australia’s Big Bash competition. There were some fantastic questions asked of Chris from boys in the Junior School right the way through to Year 13 and he was able to give a very unique insight in to world of international cricket. It was clear that when in pressurised situations, Chris believed that falling back onto the years of training should give you the confidence to be successful.
Following the successful Q and A with Chris Jordan, we were incredibly fortunate to be able to host Eoin Morgan for a Q and A session on Tuesday 19th May. Eoin spent a brief time at Dulwich College in 2001. Eoin has played 236 ODI matches, 16 test matches as well as 89 T20 internationals. He is the current England ODI captain and famously lifted the Cricket World Cup at Lords in 2019. He has also been a regular feature in the IPL as well as playing in Australia’s Big Bash Competition.
Eoin provided a fascinating insight into the life as an England Captain, answering questions ranging from how to balance school life with the training required of an aspiring professional cricketer, to the conversation with Jofra Archer after his first ball of the super over in the 2019 World Cup Final. The boys were given an explanation as to how logical his decision making was during that game and were given a unique perspective from inside the dressing room. Eoin finished with some advice for boys at Dulwich College, highlighting the importance of using the facilities we have here to install a passion for something, sporting or otherwise.
We would like to thank publicly thank both Chris and Eoin for taking time out of their schedules to provide the boys of Dulwich College the unique opportunity to ask questions to two of the top cricketers in the world.
