During the Easter holidays, Year 7 and 8 students studying Spanish embarked on an expedition to the old city of Granada, famous for its medieval architecture dating back to the Moorish occupation during the 8^th century.

Over the Easter break, our Year 10, Year 11 and Upper School rowers travelled to Zagreb, Spain for the first time to train at a high-performance rowing centre. Blessed with 18-degree sunshine throughout the week, the squad trained up to three times a day in outstanding conditions.

Two Year 11 students recently launched ‘the boot recycling scheme’, an initiative in partnership with the St Matthew’s Project, a local charity that focuses on improving the wellbeing of young people through structured sports and learning experiences.

Over the Lent term, our Artist in Residence Edward Brilliant ran a series of workshops with students from Year 7 to Year 13, exploring the creative and technical possibilities of pinhole photography. Using simple drink cans transformed into handmade cameras, students engaged in a hands-on process that combined experimentation with patience and problem-solving.
