Year 3s Enjoy Action-Packed Camping Trip

Our Year 3 pupils enjoyed a memorable and action-packed camping trip, filled with adventure and teamwork. Upon arrival, the boys wasted no time settling in. After a quick lunch, they were beyond excited to finally discover their tent partners, setting the tone for a fun-filled experience ahead.

The Really Wild staff led a range of engaging activities throughout the afternoon, including fire-lighting and javelin throwing, which challenged the boys to develop new skills and build confidence. Following a delicious dinner, the evening continued with a magical night-time walk through the woods, ending with a cosy fireside story that everyone thoroughly enjoyed.

For some, being away from home proved a little challenging; however, there was great comfort in having friends close by, and the staff were always on hand with kind and supportive words. By the morning, spirits were high once again as the boys took part in a series of collaborative activities. These included a trust exercise guiding a partner around an obstacle course, practising how to quietly stalk a “wild deer”, and completing a demanding team challenge that required them to move from tree to tree as an unbroken chain.

Throughout the trip, the boys conducted themselves brilliantly, showing resilience, teamwork and enthusiasm. It was a fantastic experience, and one that they will no doubt remember for a long time.
