Our Annual School Bell Competition

At the start and end of every lesson, our school bell rings with a unique tune that changes each term. Each tune is chosen through our Annual School Bell Competition. This popular competition gives students from Years 3 to 13 the opportunity to explore and showcase their musical creativity and talent. 

Competition Process

Students are tasked with composing a short, 10-second jingle using either acoustic instruments or production softwares such as Logic Pro. The use of pre-existing loops is not permitted ; this ensures that all ideas are original and developed by the students themselves. 

Shortlisting and announcing the winning entries

A final shortlist of 10 entries is created, after which the whole College community votes for their top three choices. The winning students then workshop their tunes with our Music Technologist, Mr Khan to refine them before each is played for a term to signal the start and end of each lesson.
