Aztec workshop with Year 5 Pupils

The Aztecs continues to be a real highlight of our year’s learning in Year 5. Recently, we attended an afternoon workshop by the brilliant Mexicolore team, a small artefact-based teaching team that focuses on learning about Mexico and Aztecs. 

Year 5 were thrilled to welcome the team into school for an immersive journey into Aztec life. The boys explored real artefacts, listened to captivating stories, and discovered the remarkable achievements of this ancient civilisation. A particular favourite was the chance to play traditional Aztec style music, filling the hall with rhythmic beats and plenty of excitement. It was a lively, hands‑on experience that brought history to life and left everyone eager to learn more.
