Grounds & Facilities

The Junior School is on the main College campus. The purpose- built, modern Junior School provides excellent teaching facilities for this age group. In addition, the boys can access the fantastic facilities available on the wider campus.

During their Games and PE lessons, boys make full use of the extensive playing fields, astroturf pitches and the Sports Centre (which includes a 25m swimming pool). Boys have timetabled computing lessons which are taught in our own Junior School computing suite. In addition the large, well-equipped Art and DT rooms enable us to plan ambitious and adventurous tasks and activities in this area of the curriculum. The Junior School science lab, a dedicated lab within the new Laboratory block, means that all boys undertake a superb science curriculum with full experiments from Year 3. Our Junior School library provides a bright, stimulating environment for the boys to come and read or to carry out research. The school hall is the main meeting place for events such as assemblies, informal concerts, visiting theatre groups or author visits. Junior School boys are taught music in the College’s music school, and may perform on any number of ‘College wide’ occasions. Junior School drama productions are staged in the Edward Alleyn theatre. The boys greatly appreciate the five dedicated areas for them to enjoy during their break times for all their games.
