Clubs & Societies
With over 70 clubs, activities and ensembles taking place each week, both at lunchtimes and after school, there is something on offer for every boy.
Clubs and Societies
Clubs run for forty minutes at lunchtime and an hour after school, and there is also a Home Learning Club until 5pm and an After School Care Club until 6pm. The vast majority of our clubs are teacher-led and free of charge. We expect boys to take part in a minimum of two clubs per week although there is no requirement to attend an after-school club. On average, however, most boys do 4 or 5 clubs during the week.
The programme is partly driven by teachers’ passions and interests, but boys also have the chance to suggest clubs that might be of interest to them. Across the year, boys work towards specific outcomes or performances and parents are invited in from time to time to see the boys’ learning in action.
The clubs’ programme is a strength of the Junior School and the array of opportunities available means that students have the chance ‘to be and do everything’.
