Creative Arts

The boys have the opportunity to enjoy a great deal of Music, Drama and Dance both inside and outside the curriculum.

Our strings and wind schemes mean that by the end of Year 4 the boys have started learning two instruments. There are multiple ensembles and concerts (both grand and informal) and singing is at the heart of the school in our assemblies and year group performances.

All boys are in the major Year group productions in Years 3, 4, 5 and 6, where there is a strong emphasis on collaboration, ensemble, and the enjoyment of process.

We wish all the boys to leave the Junior School having learnt many skills in the Creative Arts but most importantly to be inspired to keep this appreciation throughout the College and well beyond. All the boys should know what it feels like to be a singer, a player, a dancer and an actor by the time they leave the Junior School.
