Subjects

Our curriculum is designed to challenge and develop the boys, encouraging every child to reach his full potential. Within a broad and balanced range of teaching, we place great emphasis on the core subjects, with Mathematics and English taught every day and a generous allocation of both time and resources given to the teaching of science. The school week also includes a wide range of practical, creative and physical activities both within and outside the classroom. Our pupils are constantly engaged, stimulated and surprised. We believe that through providing an exciting, varied and inspiring curriculum we create confident, independent learners.

Each class has its own form room, where most academic lessons take place. In addition, pupils benefit from the excellent facilities of the College. PE and Games are taught by specialist coaches in the purpose-built PE Centre and on our extensive playing fields. Science is taught in a fully-equipped laboratory while music is provided within the Music School which comprises several practice rooms, numerous instruments and a regular programme of performance. Art, DT and Computing are taught in specialist rooms, dedicated to Junior School use.

All children study English, Mathematics, Science, History, Geography, Religious Studies, Music, Art, Design and Technology, Drama, Dance, Philosophy, French, Computing, Physical Education, Games and Wellbeing.
