Information Technology

All boys in the Junior School receive weekly lessons in Computing and IT. Lessons take place in the newly opened Junior School IT Suite using Windows PCs managed over the College’s network. There are sufficient machines for each pupil to have their own computer, ensuring as much hands-on learning as possible.

Classrooms are fitted with short-throw interactive projectors and large flat-surface whiteboards, while each pupil has a Microsoft 365 account to work seamlessly between school and home, as well as a centrally managed iPad that becomes an integral part of their learning toolkit over four years.

Curriculum and Skills

In Computing and IT lessons, pupils develop proficiency with core applications such as word processors, spreadsheets, databases, and presentation tools, and are introduced to both cloud-based and server-installed applications. From Year 3 onwards, they learn computer coding and touch typing. IT is integrated across the curriculum, supporting collaborative learning while developing both specific computing skills and broader digital literacy.
