During the half term break Miss Frederick was lucky enough to visit DUCKS Yangon Star City campus, one of the two Dulwich College sites in Myanmar. She spent the morning with Year 1 and Year 2 in their amazing learning environment. The building is state of the art at just three years old and boasts modern spacious classrooms, each with their own outdoor space, the most impressive one being on the roof. Along with its architecturally designed playgrounds where the children can grow their own vegetables and lovely library complete with its own bamboo treehouse, it is definitely a place to remember. Although the Yangon and London buildings are very different, the shared ethos of a joyful supportive community and sense of familiarity really shone through in the children's learning. While visiting the Year 2 classroom, Miss Frederick hand-delivered the delightful letters the Avocet and Curlew classes had written describing life at DUCKS in London.
