During this unparalleled time in the College’s history, one of the consequences of lockdown is that we are unable to end the year with our traditional Founder’s Day event. Instead a virtual celebration has been created in the form of a series of films that will go live at 2pm on Saturday 27 June.
There will be a very special rainbow Opening Ceremony with a welcome from the Master and performances with pupils from DUCKS through to the Upper School. Films compiled by departments across the College - and from our partners at Dulwich College International and from Old Alleynians - will showcase just some of what has been achieved during lockdown. Expect to be entertained and moved by the compilation of multifarious accomplishments and undertakings since the end of March, including remote learning, co-curricular activities, community work and charity fundraising. The Service of Remembrance has always marked the beginning of Founder's Day and fireworks have always marked the end; this year we still have both (with thanks to 2019 for the virtual grand finale).
Our hope is that you enjoy Virtual Founder's Day 2020 from the comfort of your own home, but please feel free to use blankets and bring a picnic for the more authentic experience!
We invite you to join us on Saturday 27 June from 2pm.
