Year 1 Singing Festival at JAGS

This week, Year 1 ventured to JAGS for the annual Year 1 Singing Festival. We joined five other local schools in a mass-singing event, following fun vocal warm-ups, creating a 300-person strong 'musical rainstorm', performing to each other and listening to some wonderful music performed by the partnering schools. We sang a call-and-response song called Throw, Catch to warm up our voices before the Year 1 DUCKS pupils gave a wonderful performance of one of our favourite songs Make Someone Happy. The singing festival ended with all six schools singing and signing Cover Me In Sunshine, which in the lead up to this event Year 1 have been really enjoying rehearsing.
