Congratulations to Dr Cameron Pyke who will continue as Head of Dulwich College Beijing for another three years following this year’s secondment.
Cameron joined us from Lancing College in 1998 to teach history. He became Head of Upper School in 2004 and during his tenure was instrumental in improving A level outcomes and inculcating an ethos of mutual respect and consideration for others. Concurrently Cameron completed his MMus and PhD in Musicology at Goldsmiths College, focusing his research on Benjamin Britten’s relationship with Russia.
Throughout this period, Cameron also taught undergraduates part time and, in this regard, served as a role model for the importance of lifelong learning and ongoing intellectual exploration.
In 2015, Cameron was promoted to the post of Deputy Master External and played a pivotal role in cementing the College’s partnerships locally and internationally.
We wish Cameron all the very best in this position and, whilst we will miss his wise presence at the College, we are delighted that he will remain a central figure in the Dulwich family of schools.
