Appointment of Principal Deputy 

We are delighted to announce that Mrs Sally Walmsley will be Principal Deputy from September 2026. 

Sally is currently the Chief Operating Officer at Sevenoaks, having been deputy head for several years before that. Prior to joining Sevenoaks, she was the Head of Sixth Form at St Swithun’s School.

She initially trained as a lawyer, working as in-house legal counsel to an international investment advisory business, before changing to teach biology, which was her degree subject.

In accepting the role of Principal Deputy, Sally said: “I am honoured and excited to have been given this opportunity to join such an enduring and purposeful institution. Dulwich College has provided an outstanding education for its students for many years, as well as being an important part of the wider Southwark educational landscape, and I am thrilled to become part of the community.”

Robert Milne, the Master, said: “We had a very strong field of applicants and amongst great competition, Sally's application truly stood out. We feel fortunate to have her join our school and our teaching community, where we know she will be welcomed and make a great and positive difference.”
