A Joyful Visit from the London Community Gospel Choir

Last week, the College was filled with music, energy and excitement as our friends from the London Community Gospel Choir returned for a morning of workshops in assembly. The six talented singers, accompanied by their band, spent the session sharing their passion for music with pupils from across the whole school. 

Pupils in Years 9 and 10 enjoyed an uplifting session packed with vocal warm-ups, rhythm exercises and powerful gospel songs. The choir’s infectious enthusiasm quickly had everyone singing with confidence and enjoying the experience. Pupils from DUCKS and the Junior School then joined in wholeheartedly, creating a joyful atmosphere that almost lifted the roof. Smiles, laughter and enthusiastic singing were everywhere as the younger pupils embraced every moment. 

The final session brought together Years 7 and 8 for a lively singing celebration, with many boys confidently volunteering to perform solos on stage. 

As ever, the London Community Gospel Choir inspired us all to get moving, clapping and singing, bringing the whole community together through the joy of music.
