On Tuesday 24 June the whole of DUCKS woke up with one thing on their mind....It's Sports Day! In the previous weeks our young athletes had been practising for their events in an empty field, so they were rightfully surprised by the colour, sounds and energy that awaited them as they walked onto Eller Bank.

Our youngest learners took to the stage for their Celebration of Learning assembly. The Pre-Reception children sang a wonderful selection of songs covering phonics, rhyming words, counting in twos, caring for the planet and animals.
Year 1 pupils enjoyed a memorable day of discovery in King’s Cross, where they followed a dinosaur trail, explored the natural world at Camley Street Nature Reserve, and took in the vibrant surroundings of Coal Drops Yard.
On Friday 13 June, Reception had an unforgettable adventure at Godstone Farm. A perfect sunny day of exploring, investigating, questioning and learning was experienced by all.
Friday 6 June was the final day of a busy DUCKS week, but Year 2 showed that that they could focus just one more time.
It has been a glorious week of scientific exploration in Year 2 at DUCKS. Every year, the Infants’ School has a special focus on the subject, inspiring awe, wonder and a love of Science in our children.
Our trip complemented this term's 'Discovery' theme during which the Year 2 children have been deepening their understanding of the plants and their life cycles.
On Thursday, children at DUCKS participated in Discovery House Day, engaging in activities that encouraged teamwork, play, and creative expression.
On Friday 9 May our Year 1 children took their second coach trip of the week to JAGS to take part in the annual inter-schools fun athletics event, located on the sports field.
This week, Year 1 ventured to JAGS for the annual Year 1 Singing Festival.
The Kindergarten and Infants’ School were buzzing last week following the delivery of some hatching duck eggs.
Reception were thrilled to perform the Celebrations of Learning for their parents and warmly welcome them into the classroom to share their incredible learning journeys.
On Monday 17 March our Year 2 swimmers made their way to the swimming pool to participate in the very first triangular swimming gala of the year.

On Monday, 10 February, 28 Year 2 students participated in the eagerly anticipated Year 2 Indoor Football Tournament at the Sports Centre, marking an exciting and competitive event for the children.

On Tuesday, 25 February, DUCKS celebrated the Marvellous Middle of the Lent term theme, Invention & Innovation, with the creation of ‘DUCKS Town.’
On Thursday 13 February, DUCKS was buzzing with excitement as children from Pre-Reception to Year 2 came together for House Day, building friendships and teamwork across year groups.
DUCKS marked Safer Internet Day with a series of events, aimed at raising awareness about staying safe online. Classroom activities, assemblies, and parent workshops encouraged discussions on digital wellbeing.
On Thursday 13 February, the British percussion quartet Ensemble Bash visited Dulwich College, giving a masterclass and concert.
