The Christmas Story

Enjoy our short films below with each of the five schools of the College represented, from the youngest at DUCKS to the eldest in the Upper School.

This year, limitations and restrictions have forced us to reimagine how we share The Christmas Story. We cannot celebrate our annual Carol Service at Southwark Cathedral, nor our Carol services for our boys at St. Stephen’s Church.

We do hope that you enjoy the seasonal warmth, spiritual integrity, and community involvement of our virtual Christmas Story. It takes the form of a number of short films, each featuring one of the five schools of the College, from the youngest at DUCKS to the eldest in the Upper School.

Within each of these films is a traditional Christmas Bible reading, a carol and a reflection which links with the Caring at Christmas charity that each section of the school is supporting in 2020. Our sixth film includes messages from the Master and the Chaplain, and 2019’s Southwark Cathedral recording of Puer Pacis (The Dulwich Peace Carol) by the highly acclaimed American composer Nico Muhly with words by Dr Joseph Spence.

The films can be found below Timur Safardiar’s paintings. The complete Christmas Story will unfold as you move through each of the clips chronologically. If you prefer to watch the complete 27 minute film, this can be found at the foot of this page.
