(Open to all)
The fifteenth and final lecture will bring the GE Moore series full circle with two talks about the work of his brother, and fellow OA, Thomas Sturge Moore.
Sturge Moore was a poet, dramatist and wood-engraver. His friendship with Yeats and his literary milieu will be illuminated by the celebrated biographer of Yeats, Roy Foster, Emeritus Professor of Irish History and Literature, Queen Mary University of London. Dr Jan Piggott, the College Historian, will discuss his engravings in the context of his theories about art and life, the revival of book design and his circle of artist friends.
