Friends of Dulwich College
The Friends of Dulwich College (FDC) was established in 1978 with two key objectives: to bring the College Community together through a number of social events and to raise money for the benefit of the College, and local charities.
The FDC consists of 100s of parents and staff, drawn from all sections of the school, who want to get involved, do something different, have fun and meet new people and a Committee which governs the fundraising strategy and allocation of money.
We organise various social events throughout the year including the International Evening in September, the Junior and Senior School Quiz nights in February and March, and our many informal parent get-togethers.
We also run the College Nearly New Shop and a number of fundraising events including the Christmas Fair held at the end of the November, and the Summer Gala Dinner in May. The majority of our fundraising goes directly and, as far as possible, evenly to all areas of the College to support projects designed to enhance the curriculum and further the opportunities available for our boys, now and in the future.
All parents become members of the FDC automatically when their son joins the College and we are always keen to help them understand how to get involved and to find out what’s on offer. We are always looking for volunteers, either to join the Committee, be a Class Rep or Year Coordinator, be involved in the organisation of events or to just spend a few hours helping out. Every little bit helps! If you would be interested in doing so, please get in touch via email friends@dulwich.org.uk.
