We hope you enjoy our two films to celebrate Christmas and New Year; the first, an animated Christmas card which is the creation of Ty Watson in Year 11, and a second of the Dulwich College Chapel Choir performing a traditional Christmas hymn from Christ’s Chapel, Dulwich Village.
Our animated digital Christmas card is the creation of Ty Watson in Year 11. Ty’s animation is designed to capture the experience and healing of ‘coming together’ during Christmas. Inspired by Giorgio de Chirico's surrealist paintings, it aims to create a sense of disconnection and isolation in the first scene using long shadows and a barren landscape which is resolved in the second scene where the staple colours of the College are incorporated with the Christmas spirit. The short film is accompanied by the Chapel Choir’s soloist.
