    James Wilson has just published his latest work, All the Colours Fade (Neverland Publishing), which is a collection of short prose poetry pieces which take their inspiration from the lyrics of the band The Stone Roses.

  • Archie Powell (79-88) Produces 'Melvyn Bragg on Class and Culture' for BBC

    Earlier in the year the BBC aired Melvyn Bragg on Class and Culture, a three part series in which the host explored the influence of class on culture in Britain during the century between 1911 and 2011.

  • Jeremy Howe (68-75) Publishes 'Mummydaddy'

    In March Jeremy Howe (68-75), who is Commissioning Editor, Drama for BBC Radio 4, published Mummydaddy (Pan Macmillan, £7.99), in which he recounts the tragic murder of his wife, Elizabeth, in 1992, the immeasurable impact it had both on him and their two daughters, Jessica and Lucy, who were aged just six and four respectively at the time, and the story his life since that time as a single parent raising two children.

  • Timothy Hitchens (72-79) Appointed HM Ambassador to Japan

    Timothy Hitchens CMG LVO, who was awarded the Order of St Michael and St George (CMG) in the 2012 New Year Honours, has been appointed Her Majesty's Ambassador to Japan.

  • Nick de Somogyi (75-81) publishes 'Shakespeare on Theatre'

    Dr Nick de Somogyi (1975-81) has recently published Shakespeare on Theatre (Nick Hern Books, £10.99). For ten years de Somogyi has been the sole editor of the Folio series of Shakespeare paperback editions for the celebrated drama publisher Nick Hern; the nineteenth play is forthcoming.
