The Head's Welcome

The Junior School is very much an integral part of Dulwich College, sharing the same aims and values but having the distinctive and special qualities of a Junior School. When your child comes to the Junior School they will be receiving a Senior School education from seven years old. Our pupils are bright, interesting and full of boundless enthusiasm for the opportunities around them.

We provide them with an academically challenging curriculum, which allows all their individual interests and talents to blossom. We offer wonderful music tuition through ensembles and lessons, drama productions and dance classes, sport for all with amazing facilities and coaches, as well as deep intellectual stimulation with free learning integral to the curriculum, over 70 clubs and termly educational trips. By the time the boys leave us they will have experienced all the facets of their abilities finding their own strengths and understanding their weaknesses. When they transfer to the Senior School, they will be encouraged to pursue their passions and talents to fulfil their exciting potential. 

As teachers, our work begins by nurturing the many qualities and skills that you have fostered at home. We believe in working with you to encourage your child to achieve high academic standards, to be hard working, confident, courteous, responsible and independent. We will help to instil a moral compass where the boys are choosing to do the ‘right thing’, are empathetic and have an emotional literacy which enables them to be future citizens of the world who understand their responsibilities.
