OA Football Club

The Old Alleynian Football Club (OAFC) occupies a very special place in the wider Dulwich and Old Alleynian family. The club is fortunate to have had many recent successes, but to continue to succeed will need all the support it can muster from traditional and new Old Alleynian sources, as well as accessing grants for ground improvement projects.

Why is the OAFC so special?

• OAFC is a rugby football, not a soccer, club
• It is the only OA club or society to have its own clubhouse and grounds
• It has a history stretching back to 1898
• It was one of the last old boy rugby clubs to go open
• It runs five sides on a Saturday as well as a Vets team

None of this will be news to OAs, but what may be news is the way that OAFC has now developed into something rather special: a community club with..

• More than 150 regular volunteers, many of whom are not OAs
• 700 players each weekend, many of whom attend, or attended, Dulwich College
• Club members as young as five who consider themselves to be Old Alleynian rugby players
• Players, both boys and girls, who attend DUCKS (Dulwich College Kindergarten and Infants’ School) and others who become pupils of Dulwich College at Junior, Lower, Middle or Upper School levels
• Players who attend the other foundation schools, JAGS and Alleyn’s, as well as many others locally
