The 400 Archive

In 2019 we celebrated the 400th anniversary of Dulwich College. The information in this section is a detailed record of what took place throughout the year.

We created the 400th anniversary programme of events as a tribute to our Founder, giving thanks to his social and educational legacy and employing it as an inspiration for our pupils and our wider community. Some of the events described in the programme made a direct contribution to our Bursary Fund, helping us to extend access to the College to able pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds.

This 400 archive section includes a gallery of  films and photographs taken at the beginning and throughout the year, reflecting celebrations such as the Dulwich Olympiad and Founder's Week with a Service of Thanksgiving at St Paul's Cathedral. Programmes created for these and other events including the Dulwich Film Festival are also featured.

The Timeline highlights many key events in our history, and there are details on each GE Moore Lecture, the four-year series that culminated in the anniversary year. 400 News, which includes the Master's 400 Newsletters, provide further flavour, reporting events and activities as they took place.

We hope you enjoy exploring what the College and its wider community experienced during this historic year.
