Between 22 February and 13 May the Hayward Gallery at London’s Southbank Centre will be displaying a ‘mid-career survey’ of the work of renowned contemporary artist Jeremy Deller (77-84). Jeremy’s 2004 film, Memory Bucket, earned him the Turner Prize in that year, and the present exhibition, entitled Jeremy Deller: Joy in People, features many of his major works, including installations, photographs, videos, performance works and sound pieces.
Jeremy is also the subject of a Culture Show special, which will be shown on BBC2 at 7pm this Friday, 24 February. The programme, entitled Jeremy Deller: Middle Class Hero, will be repeated on Saturday at 5.50pm.
