Our Junior School boys have achieved some remarkable successes in the Kent Junior Chess Championship Grand Prix 5 held at Gravesend on 19 February. Girinath Haridas (Year 5) won 6/6 games and secured first place in the Under 11 section of the Grand Prix, also securing a trophy for the National Primary School Chess Championship. Ronit Nair and Ryan Cherian (Year 4) won 5/6 games and tied at first place in the Under 9 section of the Grand prix.
The boys also took part in the Kent Junior Chess Association Grand Prix held on 6 March at Dulwich College, where Ronit Nair won first place and Gaurav Kocher (Year 4) was third in the Under 9 section. In the U11 section Girinath Haridas gained second place. Congratulations to all boys who took part.
