The Infants' School welcomes approximately 40 children each year from the Kindergarten, with a few children also joining DUCKS at this stage as occasional vacancies arise. The school aims to develop varied learning experiences in a secure, happy and stimulating environment and continues to encourage a positive home-school partnership. There are four year groups in the Infants' School, namely, Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 2. Each year group builds on previous learning while targets and challenges are set which link the curriculum and the child’s individual needs. This four year programme of learning enables each child to develop confidence, interest and an enjoyment of learning, secure in their ability to use a variety of skills and knowledge along with an increasing social awareness in a wide range of situations.
