On Friday 25 May the new joint JAGS/Dulwich College Chapel Choir sang its first service in Christ’s Chapel. The music sung included Cecilia McDowall’s Preces and Responses, a Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis by Sidney Watson in E, and the stunning setting of Lux Aurumque by the contemporary American composer, Eric Whitacre. The Choir was accompanied by the Schools’ two Organ Scholars, Dorothy Tang andJames Orford and was directed by Mrs Marilyn Harper and Mr Richard Mayo. Future services are being planned for next academic year.
