On 19 January, members of the Debating Society travelled to Putney High School for the first round of Cambridge Schools’ Debating Competition, with Dulwich ‘A’ comprised of Sam Collier and Patrick Kenny; Dulwich ‘B’, Will Cook and Louis Collier; and Dulwich ‘C’, Aidan Patrick and Arnav Kapur. There were two debates, the first with the motion of ‘This House Would Ban Music that Glorifies Crime’ and the second debate was short preparation. Two of the three teams have progressed to the second round, with Dulwich ‘C’ only narrowly missing out, having come second in their room. Congratulations to all the boys – an excellent result and a great start to the competitive debating season!
