Dulwich College is a leading independent school for c1500 boys, situated in a 70 acre campus in south London. The College employs some 500 staff.  There are approximately 200 boys in the Junior School from Year 3 to Year 6.

A GAP Assistant is required for the Summer Term 2012 (23 April to 6 July 2012) to assist the Head of the Junior School in the efficient running of the Junior School.  Core duties will be to assist with all classroom activities, with swimming, PE and Games sessions, to accompany boys on away Games fixtures and on outings and expeditions within the school day and on trips to the Dulwich College Outdoor Centre in Wales.

Dulwich College Sports Club has over 3500 members and numerous specialist sports groups benefiting from its excellent facilities. The Club operates to a high standard and aims for continuous improvement.

The role involves day to day responsibility for operating the Fitness Studio and Free-Weights Room as part of a team of instructors, ensuring all users are properly inducted, train safely and enjoy the experience.

Hours of work are Wednesdays 5:30-10:00pm and Sundays 9:00am to 5:00pm and a job-share arrangement will be considered.

The post is full-year and ‘permanent’.

The successful candidate will be expected to assist with leave and illness cover when available.

A current Fitness Instructor certification is essential (FIA, NASM or YMCA approved or equivalent) together with a First Aid at Work certificate.

1 Year September 2012

An enthusiastic and able graduate Chemistry teacher is required to teach Years 7 to 13 from September 2012. The ability to teach some Biology to GCSE would be an advantage.

The statutory NQT Induction Scheme is provided. The successful applicant will be expected to play a significant role in co-curricular activities and will be appointed subject to an enhanced CRB check and a satisfactory medical report.

Dulwich has its own salary scales, which are above those in the maintained sector. Accommodation may be available if required.
